"When [Jesus] saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. Then He said to His disciples, 'The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.'" (Matthew 9:35-38) Compassion is more than sympathy, which says, "I am sorry you hurt." Compassion is also more than empathy, which says "I hurt with you." Compassion says, "I'll do all I can to help you in your hurt and need." Compassion flows from the heart of God. As those who know God, we have the responsibility to work together as a united body to see hurting children reached with the love and care they deserve and need. Thus, we openly acknowledge we cannot do it without you and would greatly be honored by your help. Our greatest need is for men and women who know the true and living God to pray for the vast multitudes of children who go daily without essential components of life. Please feel free to browse our prayer requests and become a regular prayer partner as we engage in battle for these little ones. |
